Heres a idea...be a grown up and stop being petty. Otherwise I could start to question why you became a father - don't take away from your daughter HER day. That is what being an adult is meant to be about - being able to separate the small things from the big things....

I believe the appropriate word is Mother:p

Well, i'm her MOM.... not her DAD.

It was humor to lighten up the wait - the whole household is eagerly awaiting the delivery. The inner devil vs angel sitting on the shoulder thing.... do it or not.....

It honestly never occurred to me to consider opening it - until her FATHER mentioned it. See, he didn't think of that.... question all you want on his motives - i'm in the middle of a nasty divorce and question his motives in regards to his kids daily.

But if i can't tease her about having fun with it while she is gone bowling - then it would be kind of boring too.....

Well? How did she like it? I picked mine up at the Apple store by 10am and have been enjoying it all day.

Nice mother you are, to give your daughter an iPad for her birthday just like that. I wished I would get it like that, haha.

To respond to your message: if I were you I wouldn't open it. Opening a present is one of the nicest things, you don't spoil that. For the rest of the year you will hear: "I just wish I was there when it happened... :("

LOL!

She just said Steve is smart - Flash would kill the battery life :D

She's a good kid - and probably wouldn't get (too) irked if i did open it - she'd open mine! LOL!!
Of course she would open it, because she knows parents can't be angry at you for long for opening a package. This doesn't work vice versa: children can make parents feel terrible :p

IT's just now syncing!!

UPS sent it to the wrong facility - they called the driver and had him drive over to Daytona Beach to pick it up!!!! We thanked him profusely for that extra trip :D (seriously, it went 3 hours away from us instead of an hour, oops!)

I have video and pictures of her opening it - and one quite pathetic of her sisters begging to touch it :D I shall upload one later.

Alas, we have to go color easter eggs now that it is here and i'm supposed to be cooking dinner! LOL!!

I'm thinking she is just going to sit there and watch it sync

(and she got this over a new laptop that she needed for school, which was the only reason she got such a big gift for her birthday this year)
