I’ve never damaged any of my iPads but I have 2 young children and a clumsy husband so I get it just in case anything happens.Because I take care of my devices. My iPad isn’t constantly being taken in/out of my pocket or carried around. When in use, I’m almost always sitting or lying down.
There’s no need to drop more money on useless insurance.

I didn't before, but I am now. Last month I dropped my 10.5" and bent the corner and shattered the screen. Instead of paying $450 to get it repaired, I decided to get an 11" with AppleCare. I took such good care of my iPad, but accidents happen. I reached for it on the kitchen counter and the smart cover came off causing the iPad hit the tile floor. (I had a case and glass screen protector on it.)
