I have a Samsung 21" external monitor attached and my Macbook Pro (mid 2012) won't run it on the battery only. So, I keep the Macbook Pro plugged in. I occasionally travel with it so it does get some battery usage. Plugged in and setting at 98% now. Have a 2008 Macbook that I used the same way and replaced the battery after 4 years use.

So yeah, I lost 3% of my battery capacity today. I'm now at 93.2% on 12 cycles. I didn't buy AC because it's cheaper to replace the battery then it is to buy AC.
It is pretty normal for it to fluctuate around like that a bit. I would not worry about it.
