My sister and I collect shotglasses from different cities and landmarks. It's actually very interesting to see how they differ and what they look like. I'll post a few pictures later on if I get around to it.

I also collect shotglasses (plus other souvenirs) from all the places I've been to. Right now I have over 56!! :D

Here are some pictures of the shelf where I keep them.

Ramblin' with the ramblers.
Not much...DVDs maybe...but I don't have an obscene amount yet.

When I was younger I collected Star Wars cards (Decipher, mind you, not those POS Wizard sets) and LOTR cards. I still have them in box. I scored good when a toy store near me was trying to get rid of surplus cards after decipher stopped making them: got a pack of 100 rares and foils for $5 and I still have them all. Lol.
My bro and I had the Hasbro SW action figures ('95-'99) and played with those all the time. Still have those. One of these days we need to get them out and play with them again, just for nostalgia. :)

Apart from things like iPods, game consoles and expensive trainers, I would have to say that vinyl figures are the most unusual thing that i collect.
Mainly Pete Fowler's Monsterism, Be@rbrick and KidRobot stuff.
These are my favorite Kubrick ones, as they all hold iPods. I only have the iKub shuffle, but i scour eBay fairly often for the rest, but they all seem to be with collectors at the moment, with no more to ever be made. :(
but hopefully there will be new ones in the future, especially nano and new shuffle ones.

I suppose I collect retro games, not so much for me, but that I want to show my children or grandchildren in the distant future what I was playing when I was a kid. Probably also down to me disliking most modern games as I feel they have lost their charm and enjoyment has been replaced with something that a cinema gives me for a fraction of the price of a DX10 graphics card or 360/PS3 price.

Though I suppose Mac things too :D The only Apple product I've let go of in the past few years was my first 3G iPod!

When I was a young kid I collected rocks. I found them in all sorts of shapes and colors. The only one I kept was 2 1/4 pieces of a giant geod that are now used as book ends.

Then I went onto Micro Machines. I still have all 100+ of them as well as various sets as well as the train. I even have the rare gold set.

Then I went onto comic books, mostly Marvel and a few DC like superman/batman. I had over 200 but I got rid of those.

Now I'm on a classic video game binge. So far I have around 140 Atari 2600 carts.

I hope to remember to take some photos when I get home.

North of where I'd like to be
  • I buy a lot of books (I reckon I have over 4000....that I've actually read)
  • I collect the shampoo/soaps from all of my trips
  • Matchbooks and coasters from restaurants and bars
  • Funky keychains
  • Logo sweatshirts (just came back from the Company Store!!)
  • Egg cups
  • Glass paperweights
  • Stones and shells from various forests and beaches
  • And, famously, toy sheep and lambs, including the life-sized store display sheep in Bloomingdale's NY (photo one of these days)
  • Serious collection: works on paper (drawings, etchings) by 19th and 20th century European and Canadian artists
