... and what about "cable tv " when comcast came to my house they didn't bring anything resembling a tv with them. If I have to pay them, why should I have to provide the tv ? Whats more, I have to pay them to see *anything* on my tv. ... Its all so ridiculous.

All I know is that, if you state "there is no denying...", you'd better be right or expect to get slammed. It was an inaccurate statement.
And I disagree with your premise. If something has "TV" in the name, but is obviously not a TV, I would assume it interfaces with a TV in some fashion (which it does). There is nothing in the name that implies that it is a converter box. Just because you made unwarranted assumptions does not mean that the name is misleading.
I totally agree. And what's with eBay? I looked on the web site and saw no bays of any kind. Not a lagoon, not an estuary, no bodies of water for sale at all.
