I use my products the way God intended them to be used:

No screen protector on Watch.
No screen protector on iPhone X.
No case for iPhone X.

I don't have a screen protector on my AW3 and have accidentally bumped and slammed it against walls and various objects numerous times. I can not find any discernible scratches on the screen.

I have thought about going caseless on my iPhone 7+ numerous times but each time I was ready to do so I dropped it. I figured it was my subconscious or the universe telling me that it would not be a wise decision. If Apple releases a SE successor I'm going to buy it and go caseless...damn the risks.

When I had my first Apple Watch - the S0 42mm Space Grey, I did indeed have a protector on it as I was so fearful of bumping it and scratching the screen.

However, ever since owning my S4 SS 44mm watch, I really have not bothered with screen protectors - the screen is just too nice to cover up!!

I have a Skinomi screen protector on mine. I can’t even tell it’s there. I’m very active, and also very clumsy so it’s a must for me. I play softball with the watch on and would worry about micro scratches from the dirt. I also run six days a week and do yoga (sometimes in yoga my watch face is facing/on the floor). I also recently moved, and scratched the screen protector moving things, so I was really thankful to have it. I don’t have an Apple Store near me and given how much I use it for fitness, sending it away for a repair is a no-go, especially something that can be easily prevented. I’m hoping to keep it preserved well to get whatever the full trade in value will be whenever Series 5 comes out.

Yes I do. I managed to knock my wrist and all sorts of things and it just seem to be the prudent thing to do. I had busted two or three Timex watch crystals before I started using the Apple Watch

i have one (along with a clear case) i dont trust myself without protection as im scared of ugly scratches and dents even tho the screen protector and clear case make the watch look bulky :(

the screen protector i had saved my watch's screen though from a very bad crack! i work out a lot so stuff like this is a huge possibility for me, i was thankful to have the protector

edit: took both off and it just looks better

I have a "series 0" Apple Watch, ordered it the first day it was available, have worn it every day since, bump it into things occasionally. No case, no screen protector, and from a casual glance, you'd think it was brand new - no scratches on the screen (the lettering on the back is a little worn, but that's not the side I look at).

I've had iPhones since the 4, have always had them in an Apple silicone case (starting with the bumper on the 4 - I wish they still made those), have never used a screen protector on any of them. Dropped them a bunch, have never broken a screen, and they all look pristine after removing the case. On the phone, the case does two things: one, it means any scrapes from dropping end up on a replaceable case costing tens of dollars instead of on a phone costing many hundreds of dollars, and, two, the silicone cases make the phone phone more grippy, which means I'm much less likely to drop it in the first place. Of course, on the watch, the latter situation doesn't happen, since it's securely strapped to my wrist.

I never had one on my first one, but now on my S4 i already have a minor scratch somehow, i'm assuming since the watch is so damn big I keep bumping it into everything under the sun.

I have never used any protection for my Apple Watches. I have used glass screen protectors for my iPhones.

I wore a Series 0 Apple Watch Sport (silver aluminum) every day for over 3 years and it still looks new. There is a tiny scratch on the case that I can see if I look closely, but the glass is clean. I've had my silver aluminum 40mm S4 for many months now and it still looks new as well. I have certainly bumped my watch while wearing it, and I have also subjected it to some potentially abrasive activities like mountain biking through brush that occasionally leaves small scratches on my hands and arms.

I do have Apple Care + for my Apple Watch. I've only ever bought it for watch. I have never had it for my iPhones. Maybe that is why I keep my iPhones in a case and behind a screen protector? Maybe it's also because I feel like the case makes my iPhone easier to grip and I don't feel like the glass has any impact on the look. Since the watch is worn externally, I would rather preserve the original look without adding anything on top (although the best watch protectors are almost invisible). Wearing it externally also means it is more prone to bumps and scrapes. I guess that's why I buy the AppleCare. My experience over the years has been that the Ion-X glass is tough stuff. There have been moments when I was afraid to look at my watch after an impact, but it came through no worse for the wear (knock on wood). AppleCare and screen protectors are a personal choice. I feel better about going without protection based on my experience, but I also know full well that it's possible I've just been lucky.

There’s a store outside the apple shop in my mall that does clear skin fits. I had it on my previous watch and could hardly tell. Was on there. I’m currently running no protector but need to get one soon!
