Question is very simple. How many people out there actually have more than one laptop? I would think that only one would be really needed, but I have seen other posters in the forum than have more than one laptop in their sigs. Do you have more than one laptop? Advantages/Disadvantages. Oh, and fyi, I am not referring to owning one laptop and using another work-owned laptop (sure, I guess that counts too, but not as much).

I have two that I own plus a work-owned one. I use one of my personal ones at work, since it's the fastest (the 15" PB). I have my personal 14" iBook and work-owned 12" iBook at home. The 14" moves around the house wherever it needs to be. The 12" has a dead battery (well, technically, it provides about 10 minutes of juice), so it stays plugged in next to the couch for surfing while watching TV.

I have one usable notebook (iBook), and two dinosaurs (1998 vintage Toshiba and a monochrome '286 box). Plus, I have one from work.

Yep three

see my invisi sig.

Haha, that's awesome.

Recently I've been looking for a cheap tibook to go with my 12 inch powerbook. I want the 12 inch to stick to my monitor so it becomes a desktop while the tibook would be my potatocouch computer

I have three. I have one 17" G4 and two 17" Dells. I use the PB for most things now. But one Dell has a bunch of MS beta test stuff and the other I use when traveling to our other divisions.

I couldn't see the point for myself. I could imagine having a desktop and a laptop, but that's enough for me. It would be enough of a hassle keeping them synced up.

I have one (PB 15" 1.33), but when our family iMac G4 dies, I think we'll end up putting this one down there with a 24" Dell LCD, and I'll get a rev B or C MBP. Then we'll have two (I don't really count my wife's Vaio laptop).

I have one right now, but I'd love to have a second. This would be for another member of the family though. But I will have three total in my family soon; Gateway that's my sisters, my PowerBook, and my parents will officially be switching via a MBP in September after the Merom is dropped in them!

I have four that are running: a G4 ibook, a G3 Clamshell, and two PCs running Linux (older). I also have a G3 ibook that is currently part of a stalled modding project.

Yeah, I have 4 laptops (going to be 5 once I get enough for a MBP). I have my main 14" iBook G4 1.33GHz, Dell Inspiron 5100, Sony Vaio and an ancient Fujitsu 233MHz P2 :D. Once I get my MBP, it will encode all my videos, download all my podcasts/vidcasts and maybe have windows on it to play some games. My iBook G4 would then go to just being the surfing the web, MSN messenger, Yahoo messenger computer. I rarely touch anything but my iBook right now in terms of laptops.
