Ditto. I thought something was wrong. We will probably see a patch tomorrow, assuming we're not doing something wrong.

You both need the newest version of Quicktime. Version 7.0.3.

I bought last weeks Lost episode because I missed it last week and wanted to see it before watching the new one that aired last night. It won't be a regular thing but it was definitely convenient for my situation and I must say it didn't look bad full screen with resolution at 1600x1200 on my 19" CRT.

I love the TV shows on iTunes. I have already bought the entire Lost series and am considring buying episode 1 again.

Handbrake:

H.264 encoding .mp4 format, average 750kbps bit rate, 80kbps AAC audio. 320x240 resolution.

It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to encode a TV episode from DVD to the above format (which I seriously hope is supported by the 5G iPod - it should, all the settings are right and they play in iTunes) on my 1.2GHz iBook. Not too bad, I just wish I could set up Handbrake to rip each individual episode without having to come back and do it one at a time - that way i could set it up to encode while I'm asleep.

C'Mon Christmas......

tivo does the trick for me
however, if i buy a new ipod (30 GB) i might consider getting some shows every now and then if more come out (West Wing, Everwood, 24). some rides on the cross country bus can be pretty long...

Answer: NO.

I'll just get an eyeTV and record the shows myself. Then burn them all onto DVDs.
