@jamezr. For The sake of discussion, please read the whole post, as in the post below I already covered some of this information that you keep reiterating.
Not sure why I have to go back and re-read the article, I already know what it says, I was merely indicating that it’s been predicted that Kuo casts doubt that A fingerprint sensor will be embedded under the display due to technological difficulties.
More to the point, I don’t think you read through the sources that you listed. Because if you had, one of them wasn’t even a source, It was just referencing a patent which again, patents are _not_ always factual evidence, and the other article You indicated in the previous post actually listed completely inaccurate information about “
Things not working out for Apple project finger display”, which to me, isn’t an actual source and they’re posting false information. Again, you might want to read through your ‘sourced’ articles before just randomly googling and posting them.
I agree Kuo has the most reliable track record for Apple over any other analyst in the tech industry. That said, it doesn’t mean just because he made an android prediction, it doesn’t make it any less relevant (Or credible) regardless of what you want to believe. He could be right, he could be wrong, there is no way of knowing until August, but; we can’t overall dismiss his rumor/prediction just because you’re saying he is less reliable when it comes to android.
Read the Bolded:
It Doesn’t make sense. You’re saying it doesn’t matter if I like “BGR better than MacRumors”, its the other way around is what I believe you meant to say , I _prefer_ MacRumors over BGR for reading the latest tech news. I just think BGR is a garbage source in general. I never said anything about “better”, you interjected That.
Right, I never stated that I don’t believe it’s not possible, I stated I believe the technological challenges are there given various concerns with power consumption, screen protectors and implementation with the OLED display.
Of course “Could” is the only thing anyone can say at this point if the fingerprint sensor under the display, because nobody knows anything otherwise definitively. Its all variable. If it happens, then I am all for it, because I think competition is a great thing and I’m interested to see how this technology evolves if Samsung decides to venture onto the route successfully with a fingerprint reader under the display.
You didn’t read my prior post clearly and/or fully, because I answered this question already.
Hence:
Thanks for the discussion.
