Why the emoji attitude?
It's not in the post "where" he's located nor in the user panel - indeed it says "everywhere i go", which I (as i cant speak for others) have no clue on, so the post i made was a relevant one stating an experience in a place in order to provide feedback on the question.

I'm sure if you had that attitude at work, or in person on the street direct to people you would either be sacked or punched out. So why carry that attitude to a post?

I wasn't going to post this info but i will. Internally new apple products are normally delayed by around 90 days to employees to allowing for customers to take priority on the new stuff. However the iPad pro was available for employees to order within a week on the internal store... I'm making no conclusions, i'll leave others to jump on that.

Sorry. Didn't mean to offend you. Honesty, I just think the emoji is cute and often use it even when I'm not being sarcastic. Also to convey exasperation that it's not available in my area.

Emojis are used to add lightheartedness and context to words. I can assure you that rui no onna meant no harm and was trying to add fun and usefulness to his/her post.

Your post, on the other hand, is aggressive and uncalled for. Punching people in the face? Lighten up man...

I simply said that emoji conveys a message or idea, it means something (rolling eyes is used for contempt, boredom or distain about a person or topic - that's the attitude spoken of.) In a face to face conversation it's likely to elicit "such a response" such as i described be it at work or in the street and there was no need for it. However with the 2nd comment that it's not about a "meaning" it's just an icon the poster likes, it looks wholly different...

The forum is a minefield of testosterone and attitudes and it gets annoying with the i must prove I'm right brigade, my views better than yours and the i speak for everyones my opinion is the only one so you must agree with me!

Rui - no issue, :)

I'm just sitting here wishing I'd got gold since it is still the only one that BB for Biz has had in stock all week!! The SG ones have come and gone - and mine didn't ship :(

Mind you, i'm so NOT a gold device user it isn't funny.... i'll survive until it ships, and it eventually will. Maybe my office/workshop will be clean by then????

512GB??? I am guessing you guys plan to keep iPP for at least 4 years or so?
Prior to this one i've own an iPad 1 and the Air1.

No reason to upgrade all the time - i wouldn't even be upgrading the air if I could use the pencil, and if my immediate needs hadn't changed to need a larger surface to work on. I'm a low maintenance user user.

I also anticipate some extended road trips, and having the space to carry large amounts of files will work well for us.

I ordered mine on the !5th of June from AT&T which was a Thursday and I had it the next day. I ordered a 12.9, Gold, 512. However I started to think about ordering it the day after the announcement and saw that it would ship on the 13th, had I ordered it that day.

So here's the interesting thing about whether the Apple website shows the product in stock or not. I was debating upgrading my Gen 1 12.9 iPP when the new models came out, and I went to the local Apple store last week to check out both the 10.5 and new 12.9 models. Online inventory showed both in stock (was looking for Space Grey, LTE, 512GB). I ended up buying the 10.5 model, but after a week of using it, decided to go back to the 12.9 form factor. Check online at all of the local Apple stores to me, and all of them show delivery dates in mid July for Space Grey, LTE, 512GB models. One store showed the Silver, LTE, 512GB model, so I stop by the store and try to convince myself that Silver suits me just as well as Space Grey.

When I'm talking to the Apple store employee about picking one up, she offers that they have all of the colours in stock, and if I want Space Grey, I can get Space Grey or Silver, or Gold. So despite what the online inventory said, they had several 512 GB, LTE, Space Grey models in stock in the local Apple store I was in.

It appears as though inventory for walk-ins may not factor into the published inventory for the online order and pickup in-store process, as I have my brand new 12.9 iPP with me now.

If a store is close enough for you, it may actually merit checking out whether they have inventory set aside for walk-ins vs pickup orders.

There is really no need to rush to buy the iPad since iOS 11 will be released in Fall. It’s good to wait until iOS 11 is released and possibly with discounts from 3rd party seller.

This is a valid point. There's two reasons I'm waiting to purchase the 10.5 and 12.9 iPad. Number one, is to wait for the debut of iOS 11 in September. And the second reason is to allow for manufacturing to slow down and avoid any other discrepancies with display issues or other hardware problems, etc. (Which is my preference when new hardware launches.)

Lol, I've wanted 12.9 quite badly since last year (when I started reading American comics, 9.7 was more than large enough for manga). Doubt I have the patience to wait until Fall now that it's been released. :p
