Sure, in a way, yes. But you can't compare an apple store to any other store. So it's not _just_ a retail job.
Nope, it's all the same.
I just graduated this past May. Couldn't find anything good, settled for a sort of administrative gig at a non-profit in the loop/Chicago. It's still an administrative job. Still the office b*tch. I might work at a phenomenal non-profit with wacky and fun people (alcohol always in the fridge? check) and we're frequently in the news and have a healthy budget, but it's still a crappy administrative gig, just at an above average place. Doesn't get any better because Apple is a cool retail gig. Retail is retail.
(Note: At least I get to do some things in our webpage's CMS, managing our e-mail blast system and managing our donor database, as well as some interesting stuff on the side, but still the office lackey)
