Why do that if it's going to make it easier for people to switch over to Mac? If I were Microsoft, I'd be spending a lot of money hiring hackers to create viruses for Apple. Isn't that what anti-virus companies, or even the medical industry is doing? Well that's my presumption anyway...

I mean aside from the fact that it's illegal and conspiratorial  (I'm not saying corporations don't do illegal things, just that if it were as obvious as MS recruiting "hackers to create viruses for Apple" they'd probably get caught if a disgruntled ex-employee were to snitch)

I also find it interesting that you allege anti-virus companies create viruses for Windows while it's MS that would be create viruses for Mac (not Apple - that's the company). Also for the record, there are no viruses for Mac (Trojans yes, Viruses no)

I just think that it's a possibility that someone somewhere has to be supporting these hackers. And I can only think of a handful of companies who will benefit the most at Apple's demise.

One could say Apple supports these hackers against Windows because it could benefit from Microsoft's demise

Auto save hasnt worked for me yet. Word crashes constantly when trying to save a document. I have not yet seen it restore a document after I reopen it, I have even looked for it manually with no luck.

I have not had a chance to install the latest patches, lets hope MS has fixed this issue.

Auto-save has worked for me, it's saved me a good few times.

MS isn't even properly supporting for their own mobile OS, what makes anyone think they will support it for Apple or Google? I think in a few years, we'll see Apple take iWork to where Office currently is but be more stable and easier to use. Office 2011 isn't going to update for Auto Save or versioning unless they see a pay out.

Why would they? And how? Imagine a 2GB PSD file getting every single change you make saved separately - and those won't be incremental, how are you supposed to make incremental backups of a bitmap image? And if it's not incremental, feel free to buy a 1TB hard drive every time you create a new PSD. So no, it won't happen, it wouldn't work and would be impossible to implement, not to mention there's no need for it.
I think you must be unfamiliar with the history palette and how versioning works

Is there a way to use native OSX dictionary instead of Word?

Microsoft likes doing things their own way. For example they use their own version of Dictionary to pull definitions instead of using the native Mac one. Same goes for the "Full Screen" support...they use a different mechanism than other Mac applications.

Like others said they'll probably implement it for Mac Office for 2014 or whatever.

Is there a way to use native OSX dictionary instead of MS in Office 2011?
