Somebody said this to me earlier this week and I thought I'd run this by the most neutral part of the forum.

Naturally, I disagreed with the person who said this to me.

Not in the least. Android users also don't walk around with an elitist attitude looking down on people whom they think "can't afford" an iPhone. If your prized possession is a phone, your poorer than you know. Easy as that.

Both users have their quirks. Android fans will argue about how powerful their phones are, iPhone users about how well made their phones are.

Many fan boys on both sides. i would say the iOS fanboys are a little worse, due to the steve jobs kool aid affect.

Personally i buy the phone i want. i dont buy based on the brand.

Yes there are. I've seen quite a few on various android forums but the one thing I will say is that android fanboys are more objective about android's shortcomings as opposed to iphone fanboys.

They know not everything is peaches & cream on their side of the fence.

You should of add another option: 'more NON-fanboys that fan-boys'

I think most people (average joe) don't remain loyal to the company and would drop them if it was in their gain.

No I think a lot of people that have iPhones are fanboys but a lot of android users have it cuz it was cheaper not because they actually care

Why there shouldn't be more android fanboys? The bigger marketshare and many people's aggressiveness towards anything non-android in many tech forums i have been to suggests so.

Anyhow, fanboys for every OS exist. There are WP fanboys, ifanboys, droidfanboys, BB fanboys, Meego, symbian etc etc you name it.

But then there are also regular users of each platform who use and like it for a legitimate reason who get called out as fanboys too a lot of times.

So doing these kind of polls is sort of not going to work.

Don't know about more fanbois for one or the other, but I don't see a cult following for htc, Samsung, Sony, LG, etc. I don't see Android users basing people's net worth or social standing based on the phone they use. I haven't seen any Android users remodel their home to look like a Sony or Samsung store. Just sayin ;)

I've said this before, the folks from the Android camp just seem less disingenuous and more forthcoming about Android's shortcomings.

Whereas the folks from the iOS camp tend to be less honest about iOS' shortcomings. "It just works." ... *shudder*

Oh there definitely are. It goes both ways. Perhaps you're visiting a good forum but if you look at article comments on tech sites you'll find fanboys all around.

Some of the people in this thread don't seem to understand what a fanboy is and what "having more fanboys" means as opposed to "having their share of fanboys"...

Facetious? Add a smiley if it's supposed to be a joke- sarcasm doesn't translate terribly well over the Internet.

Fastidious faculties facilitate fissures where firmheadedness is fraught with fornication in fabulous, falsehoods. Frankly, fighting for fibbers as fanbois do, figures to fling us far from the first facetious factor which was very flimsy to begin with. From this point forth, flee and say "frack it! with It was a foregone conclusion.

I agree with this.

I traded in my 3GS for an Android Phone, forget which one. I liked it more, I then went with a free upgrade ( Samsung Replenish, it was like. They mailed it to me ), which was OK. And now I have my S3, love it.

Its a great phone, its super fast, nice big screen. Epic battery life, and and I'm sure the JB update will make it great.

Though I am looking at Windows 8 Phones at some point, the hardware is damn good.

I look at things objectively, when I had my 3GS, it was great. So was iOS, now iOS has not changed, and thats a problem for me. It just seems like Google/Microsoft are steaming ahead with their Mobile OS's, while Apple seems to be stuck in the past. Refusing to Update

I think iOS is great, but it could use an overhaul compared to ICS, JB and Windows Phone.

Widgets? Please???

For the ' iSheep ' people call them, they seem to think that the only good phone is the iPhone, and iOS is the only mobile OS worth using. They also think Apple Invented the smart phone, my iPAQ sayhs otherwise ;)

It's hard to say. Xda has a huge number of fanboys.

Apparently I'm an Apple fanboy for saying that I thought Samsung DID copy Apple in some ways.
