Is anyone else sick of the green and gray/white SMS blurbs when you text? I currently have a BlackBerry, but I had an iPhone for a year and a half, and I want the option to change the colors when I get the new iPhone. I think it would be cool if Apple included the ability to change the color of them in the 4.0 software. Just like you can in iChat.

Can anyone see this happening in the future?
 
Its something I can live without, but cool to have. Its the first thing I do when a jailbreak comes out.
 
It would be nice to have the option, but I wouldn't mind if it stayed the current colors. It is not really a big deal to me.

Seems I'm the only one content with the grey and green. I've been jailbroken for quite a while and have changed them several times but I always end up back with stock. It's something about the green because the same applies to the battery while charging.

I prefer more matte balloons. Also, Deuce, I don't know how you can live with that font.

I actually just voted for it to stay the same as well. I like the color scheme. Easy on the eyes and the setup is just nice. I couldn't imagine texting on another phone, to be quite honest.
 
Changing mine was one of the first things I did when I jailbroke. I didn't really like the look of the prepackaged combos available through Cydia so I ended up downloading a pack of them and then tweaking 1 set of 2 in a graphics editing program and then uploading them to the phone. I love the colors I have now.

Same here. My wife makes me change hers every week. " I want pink and blue..pink and purple...blue and green" Argh!

I don't mind the grey and green. If Apple were to allow customisation I would definately prefer for them to have a standard couple sets to choose from. Some of the 'custom' jobs even in this thread look horrid IMHO. Most of the themes installed through JB look worse though. 'Fingerprint scanner' on the lockscreen? CIA logo on your lockscreen? Get a life. I would guess there are some good themes out there but I haven't seen any. Standard theme does just fine for me thanks.

that is why apple disproves of jailbreaking.. because people make their iPhone's look retarded.

I can live with it, but it would be nice to put custom colours for contacts maybe? iunno.

who knows if this design will even stay with 4.0, we might see something different... personally, i'm sick of the bubbles, not the colour.
 
When people in this thread are saying no because the pictures in this thread look bad, why do they care if we have the CHOICE? You can easily choose not to apply those themes and stick with the default. I don't get why people care what other people do with their phones.
