Sometimes. Like when I'm busy and I know I wont have time to be gentle with my phone then I do :D But when I'm just out taking photos or running I don't. Also I have a protector on the front/back so I don't have to worry about cracking it that much.

I have an inexpensive clear case for my X. With a previous iPhone, I had a leather case and the phone went flying as I got out of a car. Landed facedown on parking lot, but there was enough of a lip to protect phone. I've used cases since the "free" case with the iPhone 4.

I went caseless with phones before and didn't drop them, but with the price of the 8 and X I insisted this time on cases for both.

I have an Apple leather case on mine. Not just for protection, but I like the feel of leather and it then lays flat on table, not rocking on camera bump

Yeah, you need one just for the camera bump plus, as you say, the feel of leather is nice and it develops it's own shine and character.

I use a case even though I have Apple care + this thing is so slick that I’m afraid of damaging the back glass and I’ve dropped it a few times. Case is well worth it.

Nooooope.

The phone is probably more durable than we give it credit for, but usually I pair mine with a Caudabe Sheath. Slimmer than the Apple silicone or leather cases and it covers the bottom. Much better grip and just thick enough to provide decent drop protection too.

I‘ve used case on the phone for a few days but I took off because I can't stand the thickness increased on the phone by the case, the phone's texture feels incredible in hand without case, it's premium, I don't want a case to ruin it.

Do you have a link for that, please?

Somehow, having a $1k phone in my pocket will never feel safe without a case... makes no sense financially.

AppleCare+. That right there was the first time I had dropped an iPhone since before the iPhone 6s. Who knew Seattle sidewalks were so devastating.

I use a Peel case on my iPhone X. It is very thin and it is translucent. I tried using the phone without a case, but it felt a little too slippery. The Peel case adds grip. It doesn’t offer any drop protection, but I have not dropped an iPhone in the last 10 years. The Peel case is like a naked iPhone with less slipperiness.

I actually found my X to be more slippery with the Apple leather case than without. Of course this was after I bobbled mine like Tom Brady wide open in the Super Bowl and sent it tumbling down the sidewalk about 3 feet. Can’t say enough about AppleCare+. They gave me the choice 1) 59.00 to replace the screen or 2) 99.00 for a whole new phone.

Since there were some gouges on the metal and I’m super picky, I went with option 2.

I originally thought they wouldn’t let me replace them entire thing.

Sans case here. It’s a beautiful device that looks good and feels good in the hand. Didn’t want to taint the experience. If (and most likely when) I break it, I’ll pay the AC+ repair fee no problem.

Apple White Silicon. This phone is too slippery in my hands not to, so the case isn't so much a protection element as it is a grip to be apple to hold the phone.

The only drawback I think with AppleCare for the iPhone X, is it’s $200. Which I know the repair cost is substantially higher without it, but I personally never purchase AppleCare. I’m usually very cautious with my iPhones and I have had no mishaps both hardware and software.

Hell yes! Apple leather case, a very good case. Had one since 5S. I saw that there is an Apple leather wallet now, but it really costs a bunch...
