I'm just curious..who all buys a mouse with their laptop? and why?

Josh

I use an Apple Pro mouse with my MBP.

Why? Because it's mainly a desktop replacement... I also use an external monitor and one of the new Apple keyboards as well.

I use a laptop for business travel and carry a mouse. I just prefer a mouse over a trackpad.

i use a logitech wireless mouse with mine.

i dont even really take it anywhere much, it's just a lot faster and easier to use a mouse than the touchpad.

plus it makes gaming a lot easier.

I have a Logitech v270 that I use when I feel like it. I always use it when I'm using Final Cut or PS.. using a trackpad in those apps is awful.

I use an Apple keyboard and a bluetooth mighty mouse when at my desk at home. I toss the mouse in my bag and use it occasionally on the go as well. I really like Apple's new aluminum keyboard.

I have a wireless mouse right next to my laptop, and at one point I would use it all the time. In the last year though I have notice I have been using the touch pad more and more. I rarely use the mouse these, but its still there, eating up batteries.

I have a bluetooth logitech that I use when I feel the need.

Which is pretty much when playing games or using certain windows software and need a proper right click.

I do have a bluetooth mouse and a wireless keyboard but rarely use them, mostly because i got them to use with 15" powerbooks, then found that for most situations I just preferred a 12" powerbook parked on my lap.

I use my mouse whenever I find myself having to draw in Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. Other than that, the trackpad works ok.

No, no mouse here. My wife has a BT mouse with her Powerbook, and I can't stand using it. It's much too heavy! A corded mouse would be a possibility, but with the iBook it would have to stretch all the way around the monitor, and that's actually too far for the standard apple mouse. So you need an extension cord. What a pain! Anyway, I do fine with the trackpad. I imagine if I was doing a lot of photoshop or something on the ibook I might consider a mouse. But for writing/surfing, it's not worth the bother.

Of course I use a mighty mouse with my iMac, though!

Yes, I do. I use a Logitech VX Revolution, just because it is so comfortable to use and it has a lot of programable buttons which I use a lot. It is a lot better for photoshop than using the trackpad.

mightymouse, cause my mbp usually sits to the side and i have my bluetooth keyboard and 22" LCD sitting on my desk that i use

I use a Microsoft Wireless InteliMouse Explorer 2.0, though it requires an external transmitter, it has very good battery life. Though I like the touchpad as well, because of its ambedexterous nature, because I sometimes either hand with it. I've not used the mighty mouse that much, though I personally think from initial impressions that the scroll is kind of odd...
