I’ve actually felt better after quitting smoking than this week while my watch was with applecare

I wear mine all day everyday. I track sleep and use the silent alarm. Series 2 Nike+ so I charge it every two days in the morning when I get back from gym while I am getting ready

For a moment there I thought this was a knockoff Apple Watch! It looks quite a bit like the FitBit Blaze actually. I guess it's a good idea if your job involves activities that might lend cause scratching. Does it add dust proofing? I really want to take my watch climbing, but I am worried the chalk would get inside the watch.

Yes I've worn mine every day since I got it in June 2015 (though I'm now on my second generation).
The only days I've not worn it were when I was sick or on a holiday, and it was a particular type of holiday where I specifically wanted to 'get away from technology'. Most of the time when travelling I use the watch more than I normally would for directions etc.

For me, having a daily log of my activity is invaluable. I was able to export HealthKit data into Excel and total up my steps for 2016. Kind of pointless but I love that sort of thing.

My wife has been using the 38MM AW S1 for about 2-3 months non stop. This was my gift to her. I decided to get one for myself (42MM AW S1), but after a week with it, I am finding it not all the useful. I never wore watch before, so having something on my wrist is a new thing and a challenge in itself. I find it way too often that my watch is getting in a way when I am typing on my laptop, or even wearing long sleeve shirts. As far as the overall usefulness, well, I have my iPhone with me all the time, so really Watch does not add anything ground breaking for me to justify keeping it on my wrist. I will give it another week or so and most likely return it.

I, like you wasn't much of a Watch wearer but found that If I wear the Watch on the opposite wrist than I write with it will not get in the way of your typing or writing as much. So I'm right handed but wear it on my left wrist.

Got one last Sunday during a great sale to test the waters. My nice mechanical I've worn nonstop the last 2 years hasn't left the drawer since.

That's the whole point the Apple Watch, is to be used as a shortcut from your iPhone and not having to result in looking at your iPhone as much. If the Apple Watch is not conveniencing you in that factor, then it likely isn't for you.

I had stopped wearing a watch for about 6 years, then I got the Watch and have been wearing it everyday. Even though I am retired, I still appreciate being able to see my notifications easily without having to dig my phone out my pocket.

Truthfully, I paid a lot of money for my Apple Watches to primarily use it as a notification device. I enjoy the fitness part. But leaving my iPhone 7 Plus behind is a benefit, being how big it is. So, if the Apple Watch at least serves that purpose for me, then the Money was worth it as a short cut away from my iPhone.

The 7+ is such a big fat phone

It's definitely big. I don't know about "Fat." It's relatively thin. It's just longer and wider. But surprisingly fits nicely in my pocket.

But the Apple Watch allows me to leave my 7 Plus stationed, which is the beauty of the Apple Watch, it gives the freedom away from the iPhone. Which I prefer for notifications.

The iPhone 7 Plus is a monster imo. A friend stayed with us at the weekend and owned one. It stuck out the top of my jeans pocket and I really could not imagine putting up with such a big phone day to day. I'd rather have a standard iPhone and an iPad. I can see why the watch is extra handy with a plus.

I use it everyday.

I store all my loyalty cards on the Apple Watch and pay using Apple Pay. In Australia (at least in the big cities), Apple Pay can be used virtually everywhere. A good number of places can also scan loyalty cards off the watch directly, if not, you just need to key in the card details manually but I rarely have to do this. This is especially useful when going for a run without my phone.

The Apple Watch can also be used to control Smart Devices, read/respond to notifications at home while your phone is docked away charging somewhere.

I think the Watch/Phone becomes more indispensable if there is an infrastructure built around them, not just in public but also your home (i.e. smart devices). I've owned the Apple Watch for almost two years now, but it only truly became indispensable when Apple Pay was introduced to Australia last year. This was huge because contactless payment is virtually everywhere here so all of a sudden, I could use the watch to pay for stuff everywhere (way more convenient than taking out my phone too).

When I use my iPhone, yes.
I'm at the point that I cannot not wear my smartwatch, be it AW or my Moto 360, when I'm out and about.

I use to be a Watch freak. Went from $100 Watches to Watches in the $$$, then back to Watches priced similarly to the aw. I liked those Watches but getting older and going out less and working more means those Watches didn't "fit" anymore. I went to a $100 G Shock which I still love and will probably go back to that. For now though I wear and use my AW everyday. I don't carry my phone 24/7 so it's cool that I don't miss much. Plus I use to use a Watch and activity tracker. This serves both purposes. For the price I'm glad I wear it everyday.

I can see the point in a screen protector if you are in a manual job and don't want the Watch to become so scratched it's unusable.

These watches are throwaway gadgets with low resale value so I treat mine the same way I would a Casio. I don't baby it or worry about scratches personally.
