Heheh yep. First world problems.I had the same experience on the plane. Right now I bring an iPad on the plane to read book and watch movies, an the Macbook gets used at the travel destination.
The iMac sat at home with a dual displays for home computing.
I'd really like to reduce the devices I currently have -
iMac
Macbook
iPad
iPhone
To this
Macbook
iPhone
But I think the iPad will keep it's role as media consumption device.
I had a similar dilemma with smart speakers where i had
2 home pods
3 Sonos speakers
2 Amazon Echos
But I'm preparing to get rid of the Echo's and Sonos speakers.
1st World problems, right?
I actually prefer an iPad on the plane for media consumption, but sometimes I do need to get work done on the road (or in the air or on the train tracks, as it were).
So actually sometimes I carry both an iPad and a MacBook with me, but I suspect once I get something like a 6.5" iPhone, I will stop carrying the iPad. I don't necessarily love iPhones that large, but my presbyopia is getting worse, so having a larger phone does make it easier to read, and 6.5" iPhone would be pretty decent for watching video.
It'd be even better if they got rid of that damn notch tho'...
