I catch any TV moments I missed, daily show, AI, etc.

Also a great place, like someone else mentioned, to find hard to find things. For example, I was reading up on Johnny cash casually and found old videos of his and clips of his stage show in black and white. I was totally in love with youtube that day and since.

Also a good way to listen to songs you don't want to purchase yet in full.

Well since I still go to school, I like to do it to waste time :)

But I am a youtube fanatic, looking at my youtube account, I've seen like over 3K videos

Very rarely. I suspect I would use it a lot, lot more often if it was easier to search for things on it.

(ie sort search by date uploaded, interface had proper pages of results, you could look at channels, you could look at an uploaders other videos, you could log into your account etc.).

The iPhone YouTube search interface is sadly very, very poor.

For the first 6 months I thought youtube on the iphone was a waste. Now I tend to watch it a bit obsessively. Pretty much tv shows that I want to catch up on, commentaries on movies and tv shows, old music performances.

I ended up getting the video cable, and the first night DH and I stayed up way too late pulling up out takes videos and tv shows. Many were poor quality for showing on the tv, some where great quality and most are in between.

Now we fight over the iphone to make our youtube selections on the evenings when we plug in and watch them. Our favorite is the Dr Who meeting between the two doctors, which was only shown on British tv and not in the States.

I agree that the search function is lacking. Also, much better to link up with wi-fi.
