I have a problem with iTunes on my Surface Pro 3.
iTunes on windows has always appeared to be horrible. I've not had too many issues with my SP3 and iTunes but then my MBP is my main machine and I use that for music and backing up my phone.

I did a fresh install of 8.1 again on Monday and iTunes once again has the same exact problem. It's a iTunes problem. I too use my MBP for everything iTunes related but it still would be nice to have iTunes working on my SP3.

Oh don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to infer its not iTunes. The app is horrible on windows. All I was saying is that I hadn't run into issues, but then I don't really use it that much on windows given that my MBP is my main machine.

I also had thought that after 8 years of HUGE success for Apple regarding iPhone, more OS X would have been adopted.

Mac is going "pretty strong" and "okay" etc. and has produced positive sales-figures where others have had it tough in the PC market.
But as Apple is only targeting the "mid to high-end" PC market, the focus is on a small market anyway.
As others have stated, especially in the enterprise, it's not about getting the best, but getting a necessary tool at the lowest price to get the job done: i.e. the best financial investment.

Apple's focus is on iOS. iPhone first, then iPad.
OS X is nice and will be kept alive and kicking, but it it will not get the focus that iOS gets.
