I have an iPhone 7 256GB.

If the Samsung Galaxy S8 had the finger print sensor under the screen, it would be an instant buy for me... As it doesn't, no chance...

I really hope the iPhone 8 has it, typically I upgrade every year but the finger print sensor on the back would feel like a step backwards for me. I use the sensor allot, unlocking, apps, logins, Apple Pay. If they move it to the back, it may be the first time in a decade that I've not upgraded within 12 months.

Since Samsung and other OEM and ODM Android manufactures went with thin bezels and OLED the only logical conclusion is that Apple will have to follow suit. If they don't they will start loosing market share and profits. It's definitely going to happen. Just not sure about the next few quarters.

Personally, I don't think oled tech is there yet. I saw the s8 on display at Costco and the display is worse than iPhone in ambient light. Plus it had that weird green tinge that I really hate. iPhone display looks positively reddish beside it.

Every year you get the same rumors about a brand new slim bezels iPhone with no home button.
I´m just expecting the iPhone 7 S and iPhone 7 Plus S versions.
If they just released these two models, they´d feel a tad outdated in comparison with other "all display" phones out there.

I totally agree what you said, it does look higher resolution but the colors seem to be too strong for my liking which look a bit unnatural. More on the spec may not always better.
