this touch screen crap for the iPod Nano makes 1 handed use actually more cumbersome

i took back the iPod Nano 7th gen and am on eBay right now looking for a used 4th/5th gen Nano in Product Red. i must not be the only one - they are selling for a pretty penny. glad to know i'm not the odd ball here in feeling that the 4th and 5th gen iPod Nanos were the best

I wear my 6:th gen every day as a watch and I have a stash of them. But I think Medic311 is right! My favorite is the 4:th generation!!!

The first iPod Nano was the best one. Just look at it:

IMO it goes like this:

-5th
-4th
-6th
-2nd
-1st
-3rd
-7th

I've never owned one though, but have had a fair amount of experience with all but the latest nano.

I like it so much because it is very small, like the shuffle, but with a display; I can't understand people when they say is bad and why they got back to rectangular shape. When iWatch will come out and it will be like this iPod, then for sure everyone will start talking about how good that design is. the magic side of marketing.

Love my iPod nano 6th gen don't care for the 7th gen. IMO the 7th gen is trying to hard to be something it's not.

I recently changed from iphone4 to Galaxy Note II, the Gen 6 nicely fills the void by not having an IOS device.

Wasn't sure what to go for but people are selling off their refurbed ones apple gave out on the nano recall so i managed to get one off ebay for £50.

Love the design and ease of use, wasn't expecting it to be soooo light though. Watch strap for it next me thinks :)

I think it is cute but I would just use it as a watch- I like my nano 7 way better though

I use mine as a watch and have received many complements from people thinking it was a smart watch:

Everything from "is that a smart watch?" to "Is that one of those things you can talk into?"

I Love Mine!

My 6th gen Nano is great. I use it with my old 30 pin alarm clock (my iPhone 5S and iPad Air don't work with that dock obviously!) and I use it all the time at the gym. It's a great little iPod and the clip is one of the best things. I even use it as a watch occasionally with a wristband I bought from the Apple Store a couple years ago.

I like mine, not that I used very much. I like that is has Bluetooth integration for my Jaybird when working out.

EDIT: My bad, I have the 7th gen one.

Never really gave the 6th gen much consideration until now since i own a classic and touch but I came across a lunatik for a deal and of course the nano is like finding a needle in haystack in my area now that I need one.

I got mine a little while ago on sale at radioshack (of all places) for $40. Use it with a watch attachment when running, so that nothing is in my pockets and I can run better.

whaaat? when was a little while ago? i would buy 2 or 3 at $40. i wanna use it for the exact same purpose, running. i have a moto s10 bluetooth headset i wanna use with. just need the little bluetooth adapter, and of course the iPod itself :(
if anyone has a nano they wanna get rid of. PM me :D

The 6th gen doesn't support bluetooth...

It does with the right 30-pin bluetooth adapter. What it doesn't support is bluetooth and the Nike+ receiver simultaneously.

NOTE - before anyone says that the 6G doesn't need the Nike+ receiver ... I know. What I'm talking about is the ability to use the Nike+ receiver so that you can use the foot sensor and heart rate monitor. Apple suggest wearing the nano on your waist if you use the built-in accelerometer to track your running via Nike+.

NOTE 2 - the nano 7G does support BT simultaneously with full Nike+ support (footpad and HR monitor). Only problem is it isn't as sleek as the 6G when worn on the wrist.

I just recently purchased a used 6th gen to use at night to fall asleep-cd changer on stereo died but speakers/radio still work. I like it. I'll probably created another playlist this spring and summer to use when I'm cutting grass

finally found myself one and i like it. serves its purpose for what i need it for. bluetooth would have been a huge plus. I'm just worried about the power button issue thats plagued so many of these. apple should release an update that'll allow it to wake some other without have to use the power button every time. a swipe, double tap the screen or something.....

Yeah, that's what happened to mine, only volume up still works. But I'm tempted to grab another.

What is a decent price for a used 6th gen nano? Gamestop has some used ones of the 8 GB variety for $80.

That's not bad considering the demand for em is pretty high. $60 I would say go for it. $80 seems a bit much for a 8gb although eBay would fetch that easily. If u can't find one elsewhere for a better price I.e craigslist, then I'd pull the trigger on 80. That's just me cus it was a nightmare searching for one locally and constantly being outbidded on eBay.

I received one as a Christmas gift the year they came out, and I never really cared for it too much. I'm not a fan of touch screens in general, and that microscopic one the 6G had was just such a pain to get anywhere in your music library. Not to mention the severely reduced feature set.
