I am really struggling to find a use for Siri on my Mac, does anyone else feel the same ?

Does anyone actually use Siri on their Mac ?

I live in Denmark, where Siri is a little behind, compared to the english language anyway, so in short, no. She is not even activated on my Mac. Any search or task she can do, I can do faster myself.
Especially when I ask her to open my last mail, and she can't find my emails...

I use Siri all the time on the iPhone, especially when driving. On the Mac, I disabled it. I can search for things way faster myself. I work a lot in Terminal, Siri has no clue how to use Terminal.
I don't even use Siri on my iPhone, there's no way I'm turning her on on my Mac.

i've used it exactly 2 times; once, to try it, and once to show it to someone else.

I have never even activated it. It is one of the things that just gets in the way when logging into a new account.
I always use Siri to disable Siri. It is the right thing to do.
My 2¢, Siri will never become popular until the 2 following things happen. Number 1 needs to happen NOW.
- Siri needs to become a singularity across all devices and not a collection of unconnected and different Siris
- Siri needs to become conceptually aware. Until you can communicate in a normal human way and not use memorized commands it's use will be limited
Several times daily on my phone. About once a week on the Mac - I am having a hard time finding anything for her to do there, but I guess that it will change with the proposed 10.13 automation.
I might use Siri on the mac if I remember the keyboard shortcut and if Siri took less than a full minute to get going. Otherwise, no, I don't bother.
Siri is the only way I communicate with the phone in the car; and if dictation counts as Siri, I use it to dictate messages on the phone and watch -- not all the time, but often enough to be worthwhile.

How is that easier than just right clicking for spelling? You're fingers are already at the keyboard and mouse, no?

Having read Apple's disclaimer, I just do not feel comfortable giving my phone permission to listen to me at all times, that my voice will be recorded, analyzed and identified in some foreign server. Too many shameful and/or illegal practices in years past from State and non-State.

Is there not an element of "always on" or "always listening" with the Hey Siri command?
ah, right. missed that. still, it takes 'hey siri' to activate siri, who then listens to what you ask it (or tell it).
