I’m a fourth year med student and I use my mini all the time on the wards. I run Canto, which is the iPad version of Epic, and I just read my lil presentations from my iPad, which has updated labs and other notes on it and it’s really helpful! I don’t like using paper (because i WILL lose it) and I like that the iPad has it all there. It’s also seen as more ~professional~ to use an iPad compared to doing the same thing on a phone
I've experienced this as well. There's a bit of "projection" by others. They primarily use their smartphones for social media and assume that everyone else is doing the same thing every time they see a phone.

I have found that not only does using an iPad (iPad Mini with Zagg keyboard case) seen as more "professional", but also a folding bluetooth keyboard with a smartphone (with a built-in kickstand in the case).
