Haha. I was thinking the same thing. I iphone doesn't feel the same after being with the iPad.

After using my iPad for a good hour or so, I went back to text a friend on my iPhone and it just felt so small!

What do you think?

My touch IS tiny! that's what I like about it. ie I can stick in a pocket and take it with me. I'm not about to schlepp an iPad around town.

Then it's fortunate you're not getting one. People buy the iPad for the screen space. They got their money's worth and they're happy.

I realize that. now go back and re-read why I said I don't want one.

*sigh* I was trying to make my implication without being rude. Nobody cares that you don't want one because it's too big. They got the iPad BECAUSE it is big.

I felt the same way too. I tried using my iPhone and it was like this little dinky thing compared to the lush, bright roomy screen of the iPad. I think I will definitely being using my iPhone a lot less, at least for games and apps. The iPhone still has a place for a truly mobile computing experience though, that and it has a phone!

I just made a comment to my sister like 30 minutes ago about how my iPhone seems so small now, like the if it was an iPad mini.

right. but that doesn't negate the iphone as a great phone, simply because it's smaller. they each have their own purpose and the small form factor of a phone is hardly a detriment to what it is used for. it sounded to me as if the OP were trying for agreement that the iphone is "too" little. ok? peace!!

Yes, I felt like a giant when I picked up my iPhone to tap out a text.

This is funny. I thought maybe I was the only one. My iPhone feels like a cheap plastic toy now. I realized it when I picked it up to respond to a text message.

I kind of agree. After using the iPad for a few hours and picking up my iPhone the iPhone screen seems tiny.

Typing on iPhone is odd now.

Hah...I was thinking the exact same thing. The typing seems so small on the iPhone now, it's weird.

History: the iPhone is actually a small iPad

According to some histories, the original precursor to the iPhone was something called Safari-pad, which was much more like the iPad than a cell phone. They shrunk the iPad/tablet down for the first actual products to get faster market traction with existing iPod and Palm cell phone customers. They split all the controversy into 2 halves (phone & tablet) so as not to scare investors, and to get twice the free PR from all the hype.

The iPad is the real product.

Count me in lol... but I can type faster on the iPhone so there's a good side to being so tiny.

I think what does it for me is that each iPad app feels like a desktop app. There's efficient use of the extra screen space.

Then you go to the iPhone and everything is so tightly packed.

I just walked over and picked up my touch... and said to the kids, "it's so tiny!"

LOL, DD is commenting on how fast it is while playing monopoly - her sister is playing on the 3rd gen touch and she is waiting for her to catch up. Yesterday she was complaining about how slow my Dad's 1st gen was - she's not going to be able to use it after a few days with the iPad.

I wonder what she will think of "her" 2nd gen touch now? LOL!

Anyone else think their iphone is really small now?

After using my iPad for a few hours, I pull out my iPhone and it seems tiny now! Now rather then thinking of my ipad as a giant iPhone it is the other way around, the iphone is a tiny version of the iPad. I don't know if i can look at my iPhone the same any more. Lol
