This is it. I’ve bought two for my grandkids to use. They do the job pretty well for $25.
There is a newer model that has magnetic charging and is more or less like the Apple Pencil 2 except that it does not have the touch area to switch to the eraser. Obviously not an issue at that price point. I'd recommend that over these older designs with the USB-C port. The only question for me is reliability, I wonder if the electronics won't just die randomly and quickly. How reliable can that really be at this price.

To be fair, how long does a $25 stylus have to last for you to feel like you got your money’s worth?

I don’t think magnetic charging will work with the 10th gen.

Mind, I had an Apple Pencil 1 purchased with my Pro 9.7 and it was unusable after like 2 years (dead battery).

The battery replacement is like 3x the cost of Apple Pencil clones so if I can get 1 year out of the clone, I’m content.

Good to know, although that doesn’t help with the base iPads.

Replying just to refresh the thread. I'm thinking about getting the 10th Gen. Just looking for a bigger screen (comparing to the iPhone 12 mini which has the same A14 Bionic and still feels fast and responsive to me) to perform basic operations (reading, web browsing, YouTube, TV app, maybe even Universal Control or SideCar for an additional screen real estate purposes). Any regrets from those who bought it?

I guess that if you don't use the Apple Pencil that much it would be a great product.

FYI refurbished 4th gen iPad Airs are only $20 more than the iPad 10. It has the same A14 Bionic with 4GB RAM and a nicer screen.

I realize that but in my country (EU resident) there are no such deals. However, I just found out a quite good deal concerning 11" M1 iPP.

I just purchased mine about two weeks ago for similar tasks and love it. I understand everyone’s gripes with the pencil and price, but I purchased mine on sale and have been really enjoying it. I only paired the pencil with it the initial time upon set up and it works great, I typically charge it with a lightening cable and the dongle when I charge my iPad at night. It’s fast, sleek, modern. No complaints!

Pretty sure I replied earlier in the thread, but I’ve purchased two for grandkids thus far, and they’re loving them. I like the iPads just fine, and almost ordered one for myself after selling my 12.9 pro and mini 6. I wound up going with the Air because I do prefer the Magic Keyboard compared to the keyboard for the 10th gen (and I use a keyboard daily). My grandkids are super happy with the keyboards because they can just pop the bottoms off when they are using iPads in their laps.

Just got mine today, and it’s exactly what I wanted. I wanted a bigger iPad (coming from a Mini 5) with a fast new chip and fresh battery. I’m also in the small camp that only owns an Apple Pencil 1 and was more than happy to buy a $10 adapter rather than a new hundred dollar accessory. No complaints here.
