Heck no! I don’t use the App Library on my iPhone XR. It isn’t available in iPadOS so not using it there either. I hate when other companies think they can organize stuff for me. They can’t. I’m not sure why they think they can. I use folders on page two to organize apps logically for me, not for Apple, and I keep about two dozen app icons on the two home pages. It is simple and fast to find what I need because I organized it.

yeah, pretty much - love the App Library.
got rid if stacks of apps from pages so just have one screen with a couple of widgets and a few apps I use every day - everything else lives in the App Library.

has made my iPhone so much cleaner, love it.
I had reset my home screen on my iPad ready for iPadOS14 expecting the App Library would be there too... disappointed it isn’t. Need this on the iPad!!!

Just curious have you deleted all your folders and just use the App Library and the default home Screen ...If so do you find it easier to navigate..

Thanks all

Yes! I have my most used apps and some widgets on the Home Screen and use the App Library for the rest. I’m loving it!

I’m using just one Home Screen and the App Library.

Just a shortcuts and calendar widget. Amazing how many apps I have that I rarely use!

Keep trying to use it but I can find the apps that I use much faster in the old layout. If there were an easy way to delete my old icons from all my screens and use library and restore my old layout if I want then I'd try more but at the moment I see no advantage to it

From day one, I rolled with it and really love using it.
Just have a Home Screen with most used apps and widgets and everything else is in the App Library.
Love how clean and neat it all looks, the “offered” apps are usually pretty accurate and you develop muscle memory quite quickly as to where everything is and with that and a combination of search, it works very well.
For me, it’s increased productivity and ease of use and much prefer it to my previous layout with folders etc.

Just don't swipe to that page, doesn't change the way the phone works at all, and doesn't make it less customisable either.

Jason

The "just don't swipe to that page" argument doesn't cut it. I understand that may work for some, but the fact that it's still there is an annoyance. Almost like the "just don't hold your phone that way" argument.

You can complain all you want, it ain’t gonna happen any more than you can disable the Widget today page on the left that no one here seems to continue to grumble about.

Not sure why you’re still beating this horse.

I'm not. I am simply stating that no i don't use it and I gave my reasons why. When people respond, I respond. That's how discussions are supposed to work.

I've been using it and so far I like it. Still have to figure out which folder some of the apps are placed, but like that my most used are shown in large scale. Miss the notification icons though.

There's a setting in Settings -> Home Screen when you can enable the Notification Badges in the App Library.

Smart Stack and a few important apps on one page, app library being main source for apps. I removed reddit from the main page, and forgot it existed.

I hate the App Library. It's set up the way someone else internalizes things - not the way I internalize things. At least I was able to turn off the suggestions.

I also deleted every widget that was pre-installed. I simply don't need and don't want them. I can get to the apps on my home screen just as quickly and I know where they are. Apple and its fanboys keep talking about how great it will be the clean up all those messy, disorganized home screens. My home screen isn't disorganized to me.

The problem is this: I pay nearly a thousand dollars for a phone then have to change the way I think to meet the demands of the device? Just who is serving who here?

The App Library doesn't really need to be used and the existing home screens, folders, and apps continue to work basically like they did before.
