Whinners... :D

Americans are whiners because we demand perfection? Yes, it's true. Where are you from? Is it one of the countries that whined when Germany was going to take them over? *cough*France*cough*

Just because we don't bend over and take it in the ass doesn't make us whiners. It makes us get what we paid for.

By the way - If you are going to insult a country and it's people, SPELL IT CORRECTLY.

Being a tech geek, and an IT manager, I've had a new notebook every 6 ~9 months for the last 8 years. I have only once received one with a stuck pixel. It was a Dell, and Dell replaced it within a week.

If you get one, use Apple's 14-day return policy. If it shows up after that, well you can bitch about it, but your only chance to get it replaced is if it meets the requirements or you can use your states legal system.

Nope.

You have the right to get it repaired if it doesn't meet the specification that was advertised. A dead/stuck pixel means one less functional pixel than Apple advertised.

Now, if you HAD seen the policy before hand and chose to buy with that as an implied term of the contract, that's a different story. But hands up, how many people saw Apple's policy on this before purchase? Was it made plainly available such that a "reasonable person" who have seen it?

Just as I suspected.

You DON'T have to accept a dead pixel. If it doesn't bother you, fine. But those of us for whom this is a problem are not 'whiners'; we demand what we paid good money for.
