Ok I'm confused.

I already ran through 250MB.

My account said that I did not have a domestic plan, but it still gave me the option to cancel my 250MB plan.

So I cancelled the plan and now when I go back to view my account the whole thing is blank.

I cancelled because I didn't want to renew my data yet, but why did all my billing/account info get wiped out?

And now I don't even get the 3G symbol. Just confused on this whole thing...

Why are you confused? You signed up for a recurring monthly 250MB plan. Just because you used all your data for the month doesn’t mean your plan is cancelled.

I don’t know for sure, but it sounds like privacy concerns. If Apple/AT&T stored all your data, any person that picked up your iPad could activate a 3G plan on it. Maybe a future software update will allow the AT&T activation app to store your generic data (Name, Address, Phone, etc).

And now I don't even get the 3G symbol. Just confused on this whole thing...

Turn Wi-fi off and make sure Cellular Data is on.

AT&T Plan is not transferrable either. I had my 3G replaced yesterday at an Apple store and the not so Genius guys told me that I should get back my unused data plan on my new Ipad w/ no problem. Wrong...i tried to log in but wont let me...AT&T is asking to apply for a new acct. I called customer service and i was told im out of luck since Ipad Celllular data plan is not transferrable...:(

Ohhhh, this is good to know. It sucks, but good to file away at the back of the brain....

I'd be pissed.

You probably already did this, but just in case, remember to cancel your old plan.

I had an issue with ATT. They double billed me for the 14.99 plan on May 1. After contacting their customer support number they ended up telling me that there was no resolution other than filing a dispute with my CC. I ended up calling AppleCare and they got on the phone with ATT and me at the same time and got a case opened. Overall it took me close to an hour of effort to get an erroneous charge removed. Anyway, they way they described the billing was "stacking" of plans. So if I had two 250mb plans paid for, it would let the first expire and then activate the second. That's what happened for me, even though I didn't pay for the second.

I wonder if it would have transferred if you had moved the SIM card from the old device to the new device. The cellular data plan has a phone number associated with it, which is probably attached to the SIM.
