I definitely don't miss IE. I keep it around just in case, but I don't need to use it for anything. My online banking works "out of the box" with Safari, and so does my webmail. So I pretty much just use Safari exclusively.

Speed has always been the biggest gripe I've had with Netscape when comparing between IE vs. NS

Well, at least on Windows Netscape (Mozilla) renders pages significantly faster than IE. IE does launch a lot faster of course, because 90% of it is already loaded at startup.

If all you want is the browser though, really Netscape is overkill - plus it's going to die since AOL cut Mozilla loose after settling with MS. The best Mozilla-based browser now seems to be Firebird. I keep coming back to it even though I really really want to like Safari! The only problem with Mozilla is some complicated CSS rendering doesn't always work as well with it on OS X; not sure why cuz it is fine on Windows and Linux. However the rendering is totally broken with IE, so Safari is the only real competition.
