I definitely don't miss IE. I keep it around just in case, but I don't need to use it for anything. My online banking works "out of the box" with Safari, and so does my webmail. So I pretty much just use Safari exclusively.
Well, at least on Windows Netscape (Mozilla) renders pages significantly faster than IE. IE does launch a lot faster of course, because 90% of it is already loaded at startup.
If all you want is the browser though, really Netscape is overkill - plus it's going to die since AOL cut Mozilla loose after settling with MS. The best Mozilla-based browser now seems to be Firebird. I keep coming back to it even though I really really want to like Safari! The only problem with Mozilla is some complicated CSS rendering doesn't always work as well with it on OS X; not sure why cuz it is fine on Windows and Linux. However the rendering is totally broken with IE, so Safari is the only real competition.
