iPad Does factory resetting (wiping) the ipad uninstall all ios updates I've currently done?

Thanks Apple for killing my ipad. I booked my appt for Monday at my Apple store.

I got the new pencil today, charged it up. Even rebooted the ipad and it skipped right away doing "S" letters. So it's not a bad pencil. I even loaded up OneNote right after and it skipped in there too, so I know it's not the app because OneNote has palm rejection in the app.

Sounds like the ipad has crappy palm rejection. Very dissapointed. This is why I bought the ipad again was so stuff like this doesn't happen. This never happens if I have my palm off the glass. Maybe without hands 90 degrees up in the air is how these ipads can handle writing. Absolutely pathetic.

I highly doubt Apple will let me to exchange the ipad for another new one since sometimes i have to write "S" fifty times before it skips. Sometimes it skips on just the 10th time I write "S". But they may not consider this to be defective hardware if it never happens if my hand is off the glass.

You have not eliminated the particular iPad as the problem. As I said above, I do not see this on my Mini 6 at all.

As it stands right now, it's absolutely the ipad. Apple killed a perfectly working fine ipad with likely their latest update. The thing was working fine until they put out their latest update last week. So now I have to go through all the hassle to bring it to the Apple store to exchange and just hope I don't get one with dust under the screen or dings or overheating. I will call the store first to make sure they even have stock because of the shortages. When I get a new one, I may just sell this heaping pile of junk. Who's to say that it won't just happen again in 2 weeks?

Taking it to Apple tomoroow and when I get the new replacement in 2 weeks, I'll sell this POS as brand new.

This is beyond ridiculous. Changed my mini 6 for a brand new one yesterday and the problem still exists! Are you kidding me! Is this like a curse or something? This is for sure an IOS 15 issue and this has been nothing but a total waste of my time.

There was no way to not update the new iPad to 15.3. I had to when booting it up. Absolutely ridiculous.

It has to be an IOS problem. I may just sell this piece of garbage. A reason why I got another iPad was because of how well it works as a digital notepad.

Maybe I’ll check back in 5 years later to see if Apple fixes this issue with mini 9.
