Does the iPod touch support mic input from the headphone jack for the mic/headphone combo?

Trying to figure out if the iPad would or wouldn't.

Thanks

It supports Audio input from the Apple Headphones w/Mic or from the dedicated Mic on Top of the iPad. the iPod touch needs the Headphones.

I thought I had seen as well it had a built-in Mic as well. But I would see why it wouldn't support the Headphone/Mic accessory as well.
