It’s not fake because the button is there. It’s just not a mechanical switch but rather a pressure switch. That’s like saying if you have a keyboard that’s not mechanical it’s fake. It’s a lot less prone to failure and water resistant so that’s why they changed it. To be honest the only time I noticed it wasn’t a mechanical switch is when the phone battery was dead.
