I used to rely on Siri for adding things to my grocery list as I used them up, as well as setting timers. Basically a hands-free kitchen assistant. It was also a faster way to initiate a FaceTime Audio call vs. tapping away at the screen. Lately it has failed to work from my AW2 for most things, despite showing correct transcription... "Hey Siri, add broccoli to the grocery list." ... "Hmm. Let me work on that. Something went wrong. I can't take requests right now. Please try again later." And yet the item was added to my Grocery List. Crazy.

Google Assistant is freakishly good, like words displaying as I speak them good. You know Google must have optimized every single line of code for low latency, multiplied out by millions of requests. It's just a different approach than the path Apple apparently took.

Yup, and in your use case, in conversation mode, you could say hey google add milk to the shopping list, and eggs and bread, and milk, and the voice would respond, I’ve already added milk, would you like ...

I use it mostly to set timers. With iOS 13 it never failed, with iOS 14 sometimes it activates random music instead of setting a timer and it drives me mad (especially when I'm already listening another playlist)

I’ve had to repeat myself much more often. Commands that used to be no problem now either don’t work or cause Siri to ask for confirmation, and then don’t always work as intended.

I use Siri a lot setting scenes with Homepods and most of the time it works well. But she/he has "spells" where things go haywire.

1. Give a scene command, Siri says OK, but nothing happens. Takes on the 3rd try.

2. Homepod Siri doesn't recognize a scene at all. But if I go to my iPhone and hit the scene in the Home app it works. A few minutes later it works with the HomePod.

3. I have a "shutdown" scene. Sometimes it works, other times I get some response totally unrelated to the scene, such as "thank you".

Siri waits for a shortcut to end before knowing it's been activated, rather than just being happy that it's started.

I have some shortcuts that do things with Hue bulbs over around 30 seconds. Siri moans constantly that it's not working despite the fact it works perfectly.

I have a bluetooth comm on my motorcycle helmet. Until my update to 14 Siri and the Comm worked flawlessly, I could ask siri anything while I was riding and she answered me. As soon as I updated to 14 it is now ".......I can't hear you...." or "Sorry, couldn't understand you...." or some other BS.

SIRI, I'M SORRY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME AND COME BACK TO ME SWEET LOVE!
