Does the cooling fan stop in low power mode?

The fan is off when the Studio is sleeping. However, in my experience, my Studio wakes up quite a lot over night. I don't know if it is related to an external dock or SSD that I have connected, but just be aware.

yes as far as I know its Time Machine Backup that wakes the Mac often...

No, the fans stop when the computer is sleeping. My original question remains, though: do they stop anytime when in low power mode?

According to apple documents (Link), low power mode reduces fan noise. There is no mention of fan stopping completely.
