Der, personal experience. Time and again on many T2 machines. It is a problem. Especially for audio people.
Have you experienced it since the 10.14.4 update that specifically fixed the USB 2 audio interface problem “Especially for audio people” like me?

Mine is working great btw. Although I’m trying to decide on a new interface, the ones I have are giving me no problems at all.

I held off buying till the issue was resolved although no one I knew was having a problem. Apparently, MOTU interfaces weren’t having problems with the T2 chip.

The question:
"Does the lack of T2 in the 2019 models mean premature obsolescence down the road?"

My answer:
It may make them more valuable "down the road", because there is no possibility of t2-related crashes or glitches.

Since OS 10.14.4, what problems remain? I have an iMac Pro and am curious. I waited till the kernel panic issues went away on USB 2 audio devices before buying.

I have to have all my user controllable T2 functions turned off in order to minimize (not prevent) the bridgeos crashes. That way it is livable. But I had a couple in a row the other day for no apparent reason. The error reports ion bridgeos crashes are useless other than to tell you it's bridge os related. Mine were occurring mostly on startup or restart. Anyway, kept to a minimum now and none of the point updates or betas made any difference so far.

Probably best you avoid, then.

Thanks for reporting back. None of the Audio/AV people I know have experienced an issue since the .4 release so I was curious to see if it affected you.
