Does the MBP C2D run cooler than the MBP C2D SR?

I guess I was the lucky one with all my MBPs. I had a 2.00Ghz CD MBP with 256mb VRAM and 2GB RAM and it ran below 40C on battery and just above 40C when charging. Just before my warranty expired I started having some problems with my screen and while in repair the logic board was damaged. Apple gave me a new MBP C2D 2.33Ghz. The temperature right now is 36C and the bottom is hardly warm. Top of the laptop is actually quite cold. It's running on battery.
My girlfriend's 1.83Ghz CD MBP is the same way.
p.s. I have Adium, Mail and Safari running.

My Gpu tends to get the hotest from just running a few apps, ichat,safari,mail.app itunes etc. When using things like that it gets to about 149~159 F
