Dark mode triggers more ocular migraines for me, thts why i stopped using it on my iMac, and i dislike it on the iPhone, I find reading dark text on a light background easier. I read somewhere that huma eyes are worse at reading in a dark mode.`

"The consensus of several studies is that human eyes are 26% worse at reading when it comes to 'Dark Mode', as per news agency Cheddar. It was said that Dark Mode works better if you have to watch videos which don't require you to focus on the text. However, Light Mode was said to be better suited for focused reading." And stuff from wired, but its really down to personal preference.

Hi so I activated dark mode in Twitter app on ios 12.x and it helps with eye strain.

My question is whether full dark mode in ios13 helps in reducing eye strain? How is the readability of this mode? I have iphone xr Thanks!
May I ask a sensitive question. Do you happen to be a bit overweight? I’m asking bc I am and my eye pain almost literally depends on my weight. And since it’s going to take a year to get down to a more healthy size, I’m not sure I want to get the XR or the 11 right now.
