Don't plan on that helping. Almost ALL have lines it's just to what degree. Most that report "no lines" simply don't understand or see them, but most of the time they are there even when the untrained eye doesn't see them.

I see the lines instantly on over 90% of rev C MBAs. I can see them from several feet when walking up to an MBA in an Apple store.

These lines are sometimes terrible but mostly moderate. Slightly affected displays are what we are looking for. On those, the lines can only be seen from four to six inches from the display. That doesn't affect "normal" viewing.

I have researched and tested this fully. I believe there will be a firmware fix.

I agree with most of this. They can be seen instantly once you know what you are looking for. Even where the lines are moderate, the screen is far duller and dimmer than other Apple displays. I don't think this can be fixed via a firmware update, but I hope I'm wrong. I think the displays are simply bad. It makes no sense that almost every Macbook Air REV A was great.

Sorry but that is because you are not used to seeing them so maybe you do not know what to look for and that is an advantage to you :)

There isn't much reason to make people nervous. Besides, the way you write it, those who don't see them will have a nice laugh at what we're tackling at something some people don't even see :p

Let's not train to suffer... like some of us have, just because of being paranoid.

I believe there will be a firmware fix.

What made you think Apple will get one, besides you think a firmware might fix it from a technical point?

Is there any way to show a picture that shows the lines? Is it a thin line that we're looking for, or is it stripes that are many pixels wide that are just more dull? I've never seen anyone really accurately describe exactly what we're supposed to be looking for.

We were able to exchange the rev.C Macbook Air at the Apple Store. The new one also has the gray horizontal lines, though only noticeable when we're really looking for them. The screen is still not as vibrant as our rev.A Macbook Air's screen, but we feel it is satisfactory and we are keeping it.

Sony Vaio Z, and I saw these lines instantly. I believe that it's possible that few Sony Z's are line-free, but more likely, most people who say that they are line-free simply don't notice them although the lines are certainly just as there.

Some people say it's about pulse wave modulation, and it's an inherent flaw in LED screens.

Boo. But the mba is not the only laptop that is affected. My macbook pro I am certain does not have this flaw.
