I ran it on my Rev A, and though the temperature was 186ºF and fan running at 5300rpms, it stuttered during the first minute or so, but ran like a champ thereafter...

Ran it on my MBP 2.5 and it ran flawlessly w/o stutter. What an awesome HD video picture on both the MBAir and MBP...

Were you running coolbook? What version of flash were you using? Your machine isn't refurbished, right?

Thanks for sharing your positive experience :)

No coolbook, w/Flash 10, and my MBAir is not refurbished. I've had two incidents of kernel panics and the MBAir froze up both times. AppleCare walked me through resetting the PRAM and hardware diagnostics, but for some reason it hasn't repeated for a third time.

Thanks thanks thanks WOW ... really WOW

Would you mind telling me what kind of drink do you give to your machine every morning? :D

Seriously, what are your settings? Flash version? and so on please :)

This is the most impressive example I have seen so far. Let me know if you would sell me that machine.

I am using CoolBook with all settings at .90 volts except 1600mHz which is at the next step up (.9125 i think?). I am using the latest version of Adobe Flash. I also have smcFan Controller set to 4000rpm constantly.

Over all I am very impressed with this machine.

Agreed, the OP is an Apple hater and he wants to make our buying decisions for us. Well that ain't gonna happen.
Incidentally, I ran that video on my MBA under Windows and it ran fine. Flash is better in Windows....BUT....I don't want a Windows machine and I use my Air as a business computer as most people use these ultra portables for.

It IS Adobe's fault. They optimize Flash to run better on Windows. They need to do the same for OS X, it IS ABOBE'S SOFTWARE OP. Is it Apple's fault that Microsoft dumbs down the Mac version of Office?? NO. I'll make my own buying decisions OP, I don't need your help. Because it's NOT helpful.

Refurb Rev A 1.8/SSD flash 10 and it stuttered something fierce. I would love to know why some people have problems and others do not. Keep up the hunt mhnajjar so we can figure this out.

Thank you for the info. You really have an impressive machine and you know well how to optimize it :)

It seems that you are very lucky since the majority are suffering from stutter.

Enjoy it :)

Hey, mhnajjar, you might want to open the activity monitor to see what process takes most of the usage.
When I tested it
Rev. A 1.6g takes about 80% of CPU
Rev. B 1.86g takes about 65% of CPU

Just got my Rev. 1.86Ghz 128SSD back, play without using Coolbook, works fine!

Most people these days are not having any trouble at all.

The air is marvelous machine and runs video just fine. There are well documented issues with Flash on Macs. No biggie. The vast majority of Air purchasers are quite pleased. Folks try to test machines in stores and think it means something. Sigh.

1.86/128 SSD Zero issues with Hulu, Youtube, Netflix streaming, love this MBA as it's my first and has replaced my older MB. Also streams my Slingbox for live TV very well. The fan does kick on but expected and my MB did the same.

Very happy with my MBA, look forward to future updates/upgrades to the product line.

I just thought to run this on my Macbook Pro just to see what would happen.

I ran the test with the 9400M enabled (with this update installed) on a 15" Unibody Macbook Pro with 2.8GHz CPU, 4GB DDR3 memory, and 128GB Samsung SSD. I have the same update installed on my Rev. B Macbook Air which I did most of my testing on when testing the Macbook Air.

The video still stutters at virtually the same places it does on the Macbook Air and the CPU usage is much lower on the Macbook Pro because it is so much more powerful.

This is almost certainly a software glitch of some kind as it is not possible for that streaming to be too much for a Macbook Pro with these hardware specifications.
