Funny how in that apple support document it suggestions the iPhone 15 pro doesnt support 160mhz on wifi 6 just 80mhz. Yet my iPhone can connect on the 160mhz at 2400mbps

The older wifi-6 (AX) compatible iPhones/iPads do not support 160mHz bandwidt. Some AX routers support 160 mHz on the 5 gHz band, like mine Asus GT-AX6000 router.
First line is an iPhone SE 2022, second line is an iPad Pro M1 and the third line is a second AX Asus router used in wireless media-bridge mode.

Yup older doesn't but the iPhone 15 Pro does support it despite the apple article saying it supports a maximum of 80mhz on 5ghz unless they don't recommend u run it on the 160mhz.

Note I'm not trying to say the iPhone 16 could possibly support 320mhz because it probably doesn't

Something to be aware of is that a doubling of bandwidt, say 160mHz to 320mHz will take a 3dB hit on both rx and tx. A total of 6dB. This means weaker signal range.

I have a full Wifi7 network at home (with 2.5GbE links to the APs, switch and 10GbE to the modem) and definitely noticed that the 16PM couldn't download any faster than my MBP that has 6E. Bit disappointed but it is what it is.

I'm also disappointed by the marginal speed increase, but also... it's a phone. Doesn't matter as much to me as a laptop or tablet.

I've been looking forward to Apple releasing WiFi 7 laptops since I recently upgraded to a 10Gbps line at home. Really hoping they don't gimp that hardware like they did these phones.

Can u connect to the same SSID on multiple frequency as per a wifi 7 feature on the iPhone 16? Like could u do 5ghz and 6ghz at the same time?
