I have had my 27" i7 since release day and have none of these issues. So I say go get yourself one it's great!!!

Used mine for about a week with no problems. They seem fairly robust to me. Even if it did get a yellow tinge I would rather stick with the tinge than with one of those horrible looking Sony peices, atleast untill they fix the problem and my apple care solves it...

In my opinion, apple pushed it with these computers to make something no one else is offering. That's why you bought one, that might be why it has some problems as well.

hm generally i would not say "dont get a iMac 27 " because they are rubbish "

some of them do work fine , one of my mates had its iMac 27" number 4
before christmas and its working perfectly without any flaws , so apple is able to deliver a good one ,
so i guess its only a matter of giving apple a bit time to sort the problem out with the manufacturer of the screens , harddrives , .....
or maybe they can just swap the supplier, if they are not bound with contracts

I know this is a 27 ich imac thread but based on my late 09 24 inch model, these are the best machines I have ever owned. The only reason I don't run out and get my own 27 inch imac is my 24 inch is working perfectly.

You shouldn't let that stop you :D

Nothing wrong with my August '08 24" but I just wanted a huge hi-res screen. And quad core didn't hurt.
