^^^^^ make sure you read the reviews on this cable. seems you have to do a certain sequence (plug pencil to cable first Then cable to tablet) to prevent any "this may not work..." pop up messages.

BTW I like the fact that the cap leash would stop the pencil from rolling. Wonder if there's enough of leash to easily pull the cap off though.

The pencil is weighted on one side, to prevent it from rolling off a desk or counter. It may move an inch or so when you set it down, but it won't go anywhere.

has anyone found some sort of solution to this problem.... ugh. i dont want to charge it from my ipad all the time. i need a replacement.

Just saw someone post how to get one now: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ement-apple-pencil-lightning-adapter.1961898/ LOL, just saw you were the OP of that thread.

Haven't seen anything about the cap. The Pencil Tips are now sold in a pack of 4 for $19 Apple online, not sure about in stores. Guess they are finally building up an inventory of these little parts.

This is a super cheap but perfect way to keep it. We tried the Cozy one but didn't like having the added doo-hickey on the pencil. Free shipping too https://www.etsy.com/listing/260395919

Aesthetically I agree it's not as pleasing to have the PencilCozy tethered, but it's very light weight and I don't think it interferes with the natural balance of the Pencil. Bought mine in white to not stand out even more and it does keep the cap attached to the Pencil so it's always handy and secure.

As for the esty one, I don't see an issue so much with the adapter for the lightning charger being maintained on the cable but do with the cap stored that way. No idea what this storage part is made of but pulling your cap in and out of that everytime you want to charge your Pencil just seems like problems down the road with maintaining a secure fit so you don't lose the cap. And since the lightning charger sticks out of the Pencil with the cap off and is super important to keep protected when not in use, you're going to be putting that cap back after each charge.

If your not pulling the cap on and off all the time from that then your putting the cap back on the Pencil with the lightning adapter attached to it now, adding more weight and a clunky mess at the Pencil top with both attached to the device.
