Since the release of 7/7+, have not been interested much in upgrading since my work 7+ works just fine.
I only upgraded to the iPhone 7 because it was the first model to get waterproofing since I fish so much and was paranoid about water getting into the phone.

Now I can fish to heart's delight and not worry about falling into the river...

I hope the 11 being released this year brings a better waterproofing feature - like diving and using your camera underwater for an extended time...

I'm pretty sure that this is not the design of the new devices. I think we'll see different colors.

It's been confirmed by pretty much every leaker on the planet and all of the folks that have leaked out the last 5 or 6 designs or so.

Innovation.... will be same form and design for 4 years in a row.. Has that ever happened in the history of a phone before?

Do you fall into the river a lot? (Lol, no I’m not accusing you of clumsiness. I know how slippery riverbanks are and was wondering if falling into the river is a regular hazard of maneuvering the boat to and from shore).

I spend my time more around the ocean and pools. I’d like better waterproofing for the same reasons but I know they won’t warrant the feature and I’ll be as hesitant as ever to get the phone wet.

It's 3 years? We don't know how much different the next year's models are going to be.

Not sure how many different design ideas can still come in that market. It’s a screen with a few buttons and speakers on the side.

So TCook cant make complete redesign like Jobs does on iphone 4 :)

Yeah, you get things.

Too bad for Apple that Google decided to just fark with them and have almost the same design on the back of the new pixel. Just for ****s and giggles it seems.

It’s exactly like that. Once the initial adaption phase is overcome, brand awareness is all that counts. It’s always about hitting that sweet spot between beauty and controversy, and apples designers are masters at this. The more I think about it, it’s also smart from a marketing perspective. Making the cameras stand out in such a provocative manner makes the usp immediately clear to any observer. Just like the notch.

Let’s see how well they strike this balance in the final design tomorrow

Coming up with something quite new/different is a whole lot easier when there's only 1 design that was there before it for a few years, compared to when the market has matured and there have been already 12 years worth of releases. Apples and oranges, as they say.

The position of the flashlight is not something you'd expect from apple.
