That link is old. Nothing older than 15.2 is being signed by Apple.

I wouldn't be so sure, it's just a question of time...
In the meantime I have to somehow install iOS 14.8.1 again.

About 20 minutes ago, Apple stopped signing 14.8 on all devices. If you upgrade to 15 now, you’re stuck with it. https://ipsw.me/14.8

Unfortunately, with the method shown you can't go backwards, only forward. Somebody on iOS 14 could use it to install 14.8.1 but someone on iOS 15 cannot.
