So what about the people who are having the problem on a Mac. I'm running iTunes 8.1 and 10.5.6

Can Apple get anything right anymore??????????:mad::mad:

For those of you with the Calendar sync failure w/ iTunes 8.1, does it look like this?

itunes_sync_error.tiff

I have tried all the trouble shooting and have been on the phone with Apple Support but they have not be been able to solve the problem. They aren't acknowleding it is a problem with 8.1 and not my computer. One support person has recommended deleting 8.1 and going back to 8.0.2 until the problem is better understood. Yet another support person said don't do that because it could cause problems. Anyone have a view on this?

When I had this problem, I used Time Machine to go back to 8.0.1 (Inc. library files) and now I'm a happy bunny... :)

But Apple need to get their act together and acknowledge this...

worked for me

With this iTunes 8.1 glitch with calendar I found one simple solution for me.
in iTunes,
-select your phone under device,
-click 'info' tab,
-under 'advanced' check 'calendars' under replace information on this iPhone
-click 'apply'
this will replace the information in your phone with the desktop apps information, it will also install the new defaults for calender colors, etc, that were absent before,
you will loose entries that you made in your phone since the last sync, you might want to jot those down before you do this.
worked easily enough for me, hope it helps

I had this problem as well. I have been trying to figure out what was causing it and finally called Apple Support who told me that it was a bug in iTunes 8.1 and 8.1.1 should be out soon.

But I found a workaround that worked for me on 8.1

This is what I did to make it Sync my Calendar.

Select Edit - Preferences in iTunes.
Select Devices
UnCheck the box "Warn when more than 5% of the data ...."
click Reset Sync History.

Now my calendar will Sync again.
I am using Windows Vista SP1 and iTunes 8.1 with a iPod Touch 16gb

For me it seamed that every time I Synced it told me it was going to update more than 5% of my calendar entries and even when I clicked Yes the box would disappear but it would not go any further.

Hope this helps

When I upgraded to 8.1, my iPhone started to react the way that the majority of you are describing. The steps that I took may help others so I will give you my setup and the sequence I took to sync
....
Hope this helps some if not all...Good Luck

Wow, these steps just helped me get my Jailbroken & Unlocked iPhone actually syncing again. I thought there was maybe a problem that had to do with the fact that its Jailbroken. Still not sure. Thanks though!!

I got this fixed by de-selecting Calendar to sync, Sync once, select Calendar to sync again and it worked.:D

Nothing is working for me. Apple support says it is a problem within my PC calendar. They want me to delete and reinstall my calendar. Has anyone had a similar experience and did this work?
