Yep, impressed with this. Texting was never so easy, never mind the writing of emails. Love it, and free as well. :D

I immediately put this on my home page. I see myself using it quite often. And how is it free?

This app has great reviews, but what's the deal with it reading your contact info and sending it to the company. Does this concern anyone here that has downloaded it?

The info's sent to their speech processing servers so that the cloud can better recognize any names and proper nouns you may be referencing. It's never touched or seen by a person.

Also: The app is wicked cool.

They ought to put an in-app disclaimer and let you reject this, but it's probably not really a big concern for most people.

In any event, the app doesn't have any feedback mechanism whereby you correct its mistakes and it uses the information to get better, does it?

Wonder if Dragon can afford to keep the service free or if they'll start charging on a per-use basis or something of the like.

This app is simply amazing! Can't even tell it's uploading to the cloud because it's so fast!

That is my only concern, i would have rather paid $9.99 or even $19.99 for this app, and not have to pay a $2.99/Month subscription fee (got that number from air).

I guess we have to wait and see.

I spoke this!

I am dictating this review I will get this of five stars is quite accurate as you can read I hope the only feature that I would like you to have would be the ability for self correction and to add more technical jargon is this program could learn and adapt based on corrections it would be amazing I swear this text is an edited as a spoke it

Don't forget to dictate some punctuation. :)

Does it not work with a bt headset? I was thinking about getting one, and the ability to dictate stuff into this app when in the car might just persuade me to get one (I've tried it without and the background noise makes it too inaccurate whilst driving)

Once you're done recording the voice, is it necessary to click on how to use the text? In other words do you have to touch the screen to have it applied to e-mail as opposed to a text msg? Thanks!

yeah, once done recording, you tap a button to get a popup, with the options "send to email", "send to txt msg" or "copy to clipboard".

If you choose email, you get an in-app email with the text in the email body, you then have to manually choose a contact to send it to and manually enter a subject.
If you choose txt msg, it'll open the SMS app, and you'll need to create a new SMS, double-click in the text box and tap "paste".
If you choose copy to clipboard, then you do with it as you will and paste into whatever app you want.

Guess I was hoping for not having to touch a button once done recording, maybe just say, "SMS", or "email". Still an improvement from how we do it today.

its not bad, but i think it could use a bigger recording button. There is nothing else on the screen so why is it tiny? the stop button is a bit better.
