My daughter dropped a penny sized drop of hand sanitizer on the bottom right of my iPad and I was wondering it will effect the touchscreen or oleophobic coating or something?
I've done this a few times with my iPhone 3GS screen with ZERO effect. The iPad screen appears to be of identical construction so I'm saying it'll be completely unaffected. My daughter dropped a penny sized drop of hand sanitizer on the bottom right of my iPad and I was wondering it will effect the touchscreen or oleophobic coating or something?

Did you notice anything unusual on the screen afterwards?
How old is your daughter? Just curious.
The spot feels little different but it probably nothing. She is 8.

On a similar topic, does anyone here use iKlear? I could swear that after using it, it's even more prone to fingerprints....then again, I probably am wrong.

How much of the "feeling different" do you think is just the placebo effect? I know I sometimes think different parts of my electronics feel strange after something like this happens even though it's probably exactly how it was before.
Oh god, it's going to die. You're done for. Applecare doesn't cover hand sanitizer incidents, either.
