R23 is cpu bound, doesn't use GPU, all M1's have 8 core CPU. I have the 16GB, 512gb model if that clears things up. Storage speed doesn't matter for RC23.

7 core vs 8 core, 8GB vs 16GB, and 256GB being around 25-30% slower than the 512GB and larger drives are all variables.
I don’t think the SSD performance comes into play for Cinebench. Neither does the amount of RAM. Also Cinebench is a CPU benchmark and doesn’t use the GPU. I don’t think any of your points are actually driving any differences in Cinebench 23 scores. It really just comes down to manufacturing differences and a CPU lottery.

I upgraded to MacOS Big Sur 11.5. The behaviour is similar. I get around 6700-6800 points at the 10 minute benchmark from a cold start.

I noticed something, once the CPU and GPU start to throttle more and more, the CPU temp eventually stays at around 70C (158F) with very heavy throttling.

I'm really curious how gaming experience is for anyone else.
