You should known by now to never buy Apple product at release. It isn't like the good ole days where Apple had excellent quality control.

Not everyone is as cynical as you. I've purchased many Apple products at release with no issues. You should stick with Microsoft products. They are perfect from day one.

I've had these $29 headphones since January 2016 and they're flawless. They're even wireless! Wow!

And your point is what? Are you looking for praise? I heard that these headphones emit excessive radiation and you might suffer brain damage from them. What do you expect from $29.

So, does this mean there are lots of people who drive a crazy distance without problems? (no need to post then)

You drove this car for 5 hours and it only has 7 miles on it?!

7 miles on the odometer when I took delivery of the car...

although.... on my daily commute, it sometimes takes almost 30 minutes to drive 4.5 miles.(with no way around it because the interstate is the only road across the bridge)

what's your definition of "crazy distance" ??? :)

A few times a year I drive from NYC(Brooklyn or Mahattan) to Chicago nonstop. Well, not exactly nonstop... I do stop when the car is about to run out of gas or when I must go to the bathroom. I usually make the trip in just under 14 hours by myself.
[doublepost=1482266306][/doublepost]update:

called the Apple Store and spoke to someone... she transferred me to another person(manager? supervisor) who apologized and said that I could definitely mail the Airpods back to the store for return. They just asked me to ship it with a tracking number and the proper amount of insurance. He said the store should get another shipment on the 27 and he would hold one for me. Once it arrives, he'll ship it to me for free... That's excellent customer service! :)

yes, I know, I know... I was an idiot. I drove 5 hours roundtrip to my nearest Apple Store. (no Apple Store in my town) Surprisingly, only 3 people were in line half an hour before the store opened. When the store's doors actually opened, only 5 people(all in the same family) were behind me in line)

The store had 10 Airpods for sale, so I bought one. I drove home after spending another hour browsing the Apple Store and the Bose store two doors down.

Well.... now the bad news... the left Airpod is MUCH quieter than the right one. In fact, unless I turn the volume on my iPhone 7 to maximum, I can barely hear anything coming out of the right side.

Does this mean I have to drive another 5 hours back to the store to return or exchange them? I assume the store ran out because everybody in line said they were there to buy the Airpods. The store is currently closed. Is there any chance that they'll let me mail it to the store for a refund? (driving back again will require about 40 gallons of premium fuel, since my car only gets 9mpg highwa)

Apple is particularly responsive to new products that are "DOA" as they want to be able to diagnose and resolve those issues quickly. My iPhone 7 was DOA after 1 day. Apple quickly replaced it no questions asked. If you call Apple Care they will probably replace the AirPods quickly under warranty. No need to drive 5 hrs back to exchange them.

Only a product that is dead on arrival is a DOA, in my opinion.
